This one day Sports First Aid course is suitable for GAA clubs, coaches, teachers and all involved in sport and pitchside first aid. 

The course can be delivered on-site in any location. 1-2-1 and group training is available.

Sprains & Strains


A sprain occurs at a joint, when ligaments and tissue around the particular joint are suddenly torn or wrenched.


A strain is a partial tearing or over - stretching of a muscle, often near a joint.

Treatment for a Sprain or Strain

Rest the injured part.
Ice or cold compress.
Compress the injury.
Elevate the injured part.
